EQUIP II project
EQUIP II is a transfer of innovation project funded by the EU's Leonardo programme and coordinated by Turku Vocational Institute, Finland. It is based on the EQUIP project, where two online tools, database and the Home Care Competence Test, were made to compare home care qualification requirements, training and good practices in Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Spain.  Â
The EQUIP II project (European Education, Competences and Qualifications in Home Care for Older People) aims to extend the comparison and the Home Care Compertence -test to Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey. The partners in the project are Turku University of Applied Sciences Finland, Personnel Consult - G.Popov Bulgaria, Frontida Zois Ltd. Greece and Ege Universitesi Turkey. The new and updated self assesment tests and data will be available in the end of the year 2012.
The objectives of the project are Â
- to improve the comparability of qualification requirements in Europe
- to increase the mobility of students, teachers and home care employees
- to enhance the quality of home care service training
- to increase the appreciation of home care work
